Our Beautiful Honey Layout Playing at Mixed Media Academy & Scrap And Me & 13 Arts!!!

Goodmorning lovely friends,

I am longing for summer warmer nights, happy people & lots of sunshine. Spring is the next best thing new flowers little baby animals like cows, horses, bunnies & more. For this layout I was inspired by the gorgeous April mood board at both Mixed Media Academy & 13 Arts for the last one it was a challenge to not use pink as that is very easy when you have a picture of your little girl. So I went for yellows and minty teals {if that's a color lol} I have used two collections by 13 Arts named "Aura Rose" & "Aria Story"

I was very inspired my this months moodboard at Mixed Media Academy, I am normally not such a fan of the color yellow for my layouts but in combination with the minty teal I just loved it. I was also inspired by the flowers & buttons in this amazing moodboard. I ripped the two papers I used in pieces and then placed it on top off each other after that I added a stencil by finnabair called "Wild Berries"

The flowers on my layout are some older flowers by Prima Marketing and the other flowers are by 49 and Market. The beautiful boards lasercut chipboards you see are designed by the lovely Renea from Renea Bouquets I just love her amazing designs. Some of the beautiful boards lasercuts are not treated with anything but the frame underneath the picture is treated with some powder blue paste by finnabair and also the dragonflies you see in my layout are treated with the same paste.

Before I added the stencil I used some clear stamps on the background of my layout as some different lindy's sprays & mika powders. To finish my layout I added some art stones, sequins {the yellow ones are by 13 Arts} and some wishing bubbles in minty teal & grey.

You had to use at least three colors from this amazing mood board I used the yellows, minty teals and grey.....I really loved the freshness of this moodboard.....

For me it's very easy to take out my pink papers and start to create a layout....so for my own challenge I did not use pink ;-) {that was pretty hard tho} For this challenge you had to use at least two colors from the board which I did....

Goodmorning Lovely Friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful day, about a month ago we had some pretty & peacefulness snow here in The Netherlands and I off course had to take some pictures of our daughter in it. {and just like her mom she doesn't like the snow} But lucky me she let me take a couple of nice ones when she wasn't crying because of the cold. Writting this makes me feel like a bad mom taking her out but when the snow was gone and it was freezing one day she said "snow"in the cutest way ever....

You Sparkle:

For this layout I used some pretty 13 Arts papers. This time I wanted some purple papers to match my flowers. This layout is more mixed media of me then I am normally make but it was so much fun and I think I am planning to make more of them. I am always afraid to use more colour on my work because I always think it's to much. All the mixed media products I used are by Finnabair.

The teal flowers are treated with some mica powder to give it the color to match the background. On the background I used a Finnabair stencil called Manuscript I just love all the new stencils....from the Beautiful Board Large Ornate Flourish Clock Lasercut Chipboard I cut out the middle part because I wanted my picture in there I treated the beautiful board with heavy gesso and later on with the amazing nothern light texture effect paste & some acrylic metallique paint called Vintage Rose. At the end I added some snowflake paste to the chipboard and flowers and also some snowballs .

I kept the swirls very clean for me I only added some heavy gesso & snowflake paste. On the flowers I added some white matte wax & from the opal series the Royal Robes so my layout smells so freaking good I just can't stop smelling it lol. I just love that picture of Abbey she is such a sweet little girl.

I was so inspired by this months Art Recipe over at the Finnabair blog that I had to make something else. Just take a look at this beautiful moodboard: I used Mica Powders, Opal Magic Waxes, Art Alchemy Metalique Paints.....you had to stick to the colour pallet of Rich Violet, Turquoise & Pink.
