Never Change Canvas for *** Lindy's January 2024 Color Challenge***!!

 Hello my lovely friends, 
Today I am here with you to share a mixed media panel, this time I used a 30cm by 10cm and I placed it on the side. For this canvas I used a whole bunch of moulds by prima marketing. I also used the magical shakers in diffrent ways I will explain that later in my post. For this canvas I didn't use a picture which is exceptional for me haha but I managed 

Never Change: 

I am a sucker for the sprays by Lindy's Gang I use them on almost every layout for this canvas I also used three of the sprays which I will list below. I am relative new on how to use the shakers but what I did on this canvas was....the branches I treated with some white gesso and whie that was still wet I added the magical shaker in the color {Gustav's Gold Leaf} and used my dabber to get it smoothly into the sureface then I added a little water and the {Alive & Kissing Cobalt} to get more depht in my branches.

On the background of my canvas I used some crackle paste & the other tree colors and also the golden color. On the cute little birds I used almost the same technique as I did on the branches but then I dipped my pencil in the powder and placed it on the birds for that I used the {Das Werk Wine & Kissin' Couple Crimson}

On both fames I used the watercolor technique so I added some water with some of the powder in a bottle and sprayed it on the frames then I dried it with a heatgun and the I added more powder and used a brush and some water...then I did that a couple of times until I had the color I wanted.

As you might know I love adding as many chipboard pieces as possible on my work. For this canvas I added eight. All of the pieces are treated with some white gesso the "Charlotte Page Flourish" was then altered matte acrylic paint after that with some spray paint and in the end with some wax. For the "Window Shutter Set 2" I did randomly paint it with three different kinds of acrylic paint all of them in a mate finish to give it a weathered look. 

The cute little bees from the "BeeYoutiful Set" are also painted with some acrylic paint and then I used some clear embossing powder on them and then to finish them I used some matte wax. On the "Foliage Set 9" I added some paint and on the top of the leaves I added some glitter {sadly you can't see that on the picture} The words are painted with some black paint and then I brushed some matte white wax on them. For the ATC banner that one was altered with embossing powder {clear} and I used a posca pen in black to write the word "Love You"

"Handsome You Canvas ***March Color Challenge at Lindy's***!

Hi my sweet fiends, 

I was so happy with the March 2023 color challenge at Lindy's that I had to participate. I love to make gruncy projects with gears but it's way out of my comfort zone as I am normally totally into sweet pink and soft toned papers & embellishments like flowers and such. I totally went overboard with the gears and I used a then and now picture of our 18 year old son Kevin. And I used some older prima marketing flowers that I sprayed in the colors for this month. 

Handsome You: 

When the new Sharon Ziv mould was introduced I so wanted to have it and I have to tell you it's amazing. The gears are threated with two layers of gesso and some rust paste and some of the beautiful Lindy's Spray's. The same three butterflies are by Renea Bouquet and the other two by Prima Marketing. 

The words handsome & you are sprayed with the Tibetan Poppy Teal Shimmer Spray and 

 Luscious Lime Flat Spray I really love the effect that the sprays give to the chippies and moulds. I treated the window with some crackle paste and later sprayed it with the two sprays above. 

I also used a finnabair stencil on the background and I made myself a new watermark I love how it turned out like my canvas. This was such a fun project to make hope you like it too....

Happy 2023 to you all, I hope you had a lovely New Years eve here it was rainy with lots of pretty fire works but I was in bed by 12:15 lol since my husband & kids all have the flue they were not in a festive mood. Since we now have Valentines day approaching I created a canvas with my husband as the center pieces well him kissing me that is. This year in April we will be celebrating our being together for 25 years. So you will see some more works of me in honour of that.

All the pretty 2Crafty chipboard pieces are firstly treated with a layer white gesso. After that I added two layers of aqua embossing powders and one layer of pure white embossing powder on the berry branch & festive vine. BTW don't you just love the new collection by Prima Marketing called  "Aquarelle Dreams" you will see lot's more of that frome me for sure. 

On the berry branch I added less white embossing powder then I did on the festive vine since I wanted them to look slightly diffenrent from each other. In the end I added some crystal drops on the circles to give them more demension en also some white matte wax. The heart frame was painted with two different types of acrylic paint the first with a shiny finish and the second one with a matte finish.

Love to leave a little sparkle wherever you go canvas for **Mixed Media Place** Guest Designer August 2022 + Playing along with **Lindy's August Color Challenge**!!

 Hello dear creative friends, 
 I am very excited to show you my project,that I made for the quarterly challenge at the Mixed Media Place blog as their guest designer. For this accasion I made a mixed media panel size 30cm by 10cm.
On my panel I used a bunch of new Finnabair moulds which I first treated with black gesso like I did with my background. The background took a day to dry because I added some of the clear crackle texture paste on it and I wanted it to dry naturally since is was very hot the last week.

Love to leave a little sparkle wherever you go: 

I tend to find it very hard to not use a color palette or a mood board since they always inspire me so much. So I used the Lindy's Stamp Gang color challenge as my inspiration to create this for my guest designer spot at Mixed Media Place

I added a text stencil with the modeling paste and when that was dry I added two layers of black heavy gesso. After that I took out my moulds and made the ones I used with resin (I prefer that over other modeling material) 

Also before I did all of the above I pick out my flowers first which I treated with different sprays & mica powders. When the moulds were dry I used a couple of the waxes & some purple acrylic paint for the backside of the light bulbs. Then I put everything in place how I liked it and voila it's ready and the last thing I did was add some white splatters. 

With this canvas I will be entering this months color challenge at the Lindy's Facebook Page.

July 15 at Sea 30 by 10 canvas playing at ***Mixed Media Place*** & ***Lindy's Stamp Gang***!!

  Goodmorning my lovely friends, 

Today I am here with you to share another mixed media panel {canvas} and again I used a 30cm by 10cm and I placed it on the side. When I was visiting the mixed media place blog I saw this gorgeous soft toned beachy moodboard which I really loved so I had to enter {but little did I know I only had two days left to enter} so I went strait to my scrappy room and started playing. Also the pretty June color challenge at the Lindy's Stamp Gang  was very similar in colors so I thought why not combine the two so I did. For this canvas I used a picture of our sweet Abbey on the beach looking for sea shells.

July 15 at Sea: 

This was such a fun canvas to create I could not stop adding layers it was that Abbey woke up that I had to stop lol. In the end I added some art stones & mica flakes. 

I have used the tree branches mould designed by Sharon Ziv from Prima Marketing and the Treasures of the Seas mould by Zuri. Also some amazing chipboard pieces by 2Crafty & flowers from 49 and Market.
