My Everyday Life Layout DT work for ***The Dusty Attic*** + Playing at ***7 Dots Studio***!

Goodmorning lovelies,
Today I have a really colorful layout to share with you and so totally out of my comfortzone. When I saw the new challenge over at the "7 Dots Studio" I was instandly hooked on the idea of making something about my "Daily Routines". For me something I do every single day is putting my glasses on my face otherwise I don't see shit hehe. I also work with glasses everyday as I am a optician which I can say is a daily routine also. So what better way then to use some pictures of frames on my layout. That by the way was really weird since I never scrap things but places and people. This layout I created for my DT work over at "The Dusty Attic"!

My Everyday Life:
I am not such a super fan of orange but I got some amazing flowers by 49 and market which totally fitted the pretty "Cotton Candy Dreams" papers by 7 Dots Studio. For this layout I haven't used as many chipboard pieces as I normally do but sometimes I like to challenge myself and use not so much. {I hoard my chippies because I love them sooo much lol}

The chipboard pieces are treated with gesso, spray's and Dusty Attic acrylic paints {these paints are the best} I also used some spray's and stamps to make my background and added some flairs to compliment my work. The pretty pictures are from pinterest and I printed them in different sizes and if you know me a little you know that I almost never use more then two pictures so this one was a real challenge.

To complete my layout I added some metal embellishments two cute pilot frames, a heart and a adorable binocular. I also used some glass glitter and some aqua mini prills. The chipboard piece "Our Everyday Life" I took the *our* part away and added *my* from another phrase chippie.

Spread Your Wings Layout for ***The Dusty Attic*** & Playing at 7 Dots Studio

Hi everyone,
When I got my massive DT box from The Dusty Attic I was so excited that I started right away!
I ordered the gorgeous two new collections at 7 Dots Studio and got that order in too.....
I knew right away that I wanted to enter their challenge using the Dusty Attic mood board at the same time. So for this layout I used two different paper collections and the word stickers and a bunch of chipboard.
The picture I used is one I recently made of our handsome boy and his new haircut and I am very lucky to be his mother.

Spread Your Wings:
Did you already play with us this month at the Dusty Attic blog? If not you must give it a go because you could win a $100 give voucher and I have to tell you it's worth it because they are a delight to work with!

Here is the mood board:
For this mood board I went in another direction as I would normally do....normally I would immediately take out my Maja Design papers and go for a white or light background but for this one I went with black/grey

The flowers I used are by Dusty Attic, Prima marketing and Petaloo I have to say those Dusty Attic flowers are so cute I wish I could swim in them hehe. I also used a couple of stencils and some amazing sprays, pastes, inks.

I think you can really combine rustic chipboard pieces with flowers on a masculine layout don't you think so too? I am totally in love with the Nuts & Bolts they give your layout such a nice touch. The text strips are mostly by Tim Holtz with the exception if the "spread you wings" one that one matches my papers I used.

Beautiful Layout for ***The Dusty Attic***

Goodmorning everyone,
I am up on the blog today with a layout I made not using Maja Design papers "yep" I can make something with other papers too lol....for this layout I used several 7 Dots Studio collections. This time I also used some pretty Prima Marketing flowers I think I am a addict when it comes to flowers. I treated the chipboard pieces I used all differently some with just acrylic paint and others I embossed.

Beautiful:
This paper exists out of wood grain which I really love. For this layout I cut the wood grain pattern and distressed it heavily after that I cut out some more strips of that same papers which I also distressed and added them on my layout on three places. Then I splattered three different sprays on the paper and I also added the heart stencil {my favorite} with the Dusty Attic texture paste.

As you can see here I painted the frame that's around my picture with some acrylic pink paint by The Dusty Attic. Later I added some rust paste plus white crackle paste and I finished it off with a metal gem. The word "Beautiful" was embossed with two colors Lindy's embossing powder and the small chains I gessod and spray painted.

Oh how I enjoy playing with chipboard so much I can't imagine to not use it on my layouts it just feels not finished when I don't use it. This layout was really a happy layout to create and I will be creating more very soon.
