November Mood Board at ***Maja Design*** + Playing at Lindy's Stamp Gang

Hi sweeties,
I don't know if you have seen this already at the Maja Design blog but we have a beautiful mood board! It's a Christmas like mood board which is really hard for me because I don't do cards that often and I don't have many Christmas pictures to make a layout. But I still decided to make a 8x8 layout using the amazing "A Gift for You" collection with a really old picture of my two men.
This is the pretty Mood Board:
I think it's really pretty don't you think so too?
Here is my take on the mood board:

The Wonder of Christmas:
This was such a blessing to make do you see those pine cones aren't they the cutest ever I found the at a dollar store and I thought they were perfect for this layout.
Let's have a closer look:

For creating this layout I used some of my favorite Petaloo flowers and  Lindy's Stamp gang spray's & embossing powders. Other products used Cheery Lynn Designs dies & Imaginarium Designs Chipboard.

I did a bunch of layers and mixed media but most of the time I seem to cover it up again with papers ughhh! I don't know why I do that all the time.
With this layout I am going to enter the Color Challenge at Lindy's Stamp Gang I think it's a very pretty mood board just take a look:

I hope you like my layout. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my blog.
Thank you so much for your visit and I'd like to wish you a wonderful & sunny day.

Guest Designer for ***My Creative Scrapbook***

Hello my sweet followers,
In the month August I was asked by Pam Rangel to be a guest designer for "My Creative Scrapbook" for the month September & October but something went wrong with my October kit
{sadly it got lost in the mail}.
So Pam asked me to design again in November with the super pretty Limited Edition kit.
Luckily sweet Pam sent me the October kit again with my November kit, so that allows me to also work with that amazing kit too. Thank you! This November kit is filled with the pretty Royal Menagerie by Prima Marketing but it also has some papers by Marion Smith design and We R Memory Keepers in it. It was really a delight to work with it all.

My Favorite Memories of You:
At first I looked at the papers and thought how in the world can I make four layout's with it, not that there isn't enough in the kit by far....there is lots in it! But I am a scrapper with a soft paper tone on the first sheet and in this collection there aren't enough soft tones....so that really got me to think outside the box for once! They say that that is a good thing right? Hehe
When I showed this layout to my husband he said hon please give me my shades WOW that's colorful it's not really your style isn't it hon and I said "yup! {he loved it though}
Let's have a closer look

Wonderful Smile:
For my second layout I went for the purple & aqua tones in the kit. This cute girl in the picture is my mother in law when she was just a three year old girl back in 1948 {I really love this picture of her}
For the other three layout's I don't have close ups.I just forgot to take them ughhh.

Favorite Moments:
On my third layout I scrapped a picture you must have seen before it's my sweet mommy back in 1958. I love the look in her eyes it's kind of in a glaze she is there but isn't really there, do you get me...

Special Day:
And for my fourth layout I used a picture of Lily {she is the little niece of someone I know}.
Isn't she the cutest girl ever.....

It was so much fun working with this amazing kit thank you so much for your visit and have a wonderful day.

Vintage Me 8x8 Layout for *** Cheery Lynn Designs ***

Hi lovelies,
Last week on Sunday I told you I was going to post on Sunday's because I was back on the Cheery Lynn Designs DT but there where some changes at the team Sandy left the team and Bonnie took over her job and now my post date will be on Tuesday's. So Bonnie will have the challenge date.
So today I would like to show you another 8x8 layout I made following the theme this week "Vintage"
This time I scrapped a picture of little me back in 1981 when I was just tree years old waiting for my daddy to come home from work. My mom always settled me on the window-ledge with a apple so she could clean the house before my daddy came home and I really love sitting there.

Vintage Me:
For this layout I used the pretty "Vintage Autumn Basics"collection by Maja Design.
I really love the thickness of these papers especially for making my own flowers like I did here.
Another thing what's amazing is that the layout's I make for Cheery Lynn Designs are smaller then the ones I normally do.

First I stared by cutting out all the flower petals on my new Big Shot ;-) then I whetted them just with some water. After that I wrinkle them all and squeeze them firmly in my hands to blow dry them after a couple of minutes. Then I layered them to make these flowers.

On this layout I also pasted, sprayed and inked like I did on my last layout for the Black & Orange challenge. When I got my amazing DT package this week I just had to use these cute feathers as leaves they make a great finish on your flower clusters don't you think?
Cheery Lynn Design dies used:

I hope you all like the layout I made as much as I loved making it. Thank you so much for you visit today. If you love the dies Cheery Lynn offers you could always enter the challenge 207 Vintage , because you could win a $20 shopping spree at the store. I can't wait to see your work.

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 206 - Black and Orange

Goodmorning everyone,
I have some happy news to share with you all.
From today on I will be designing for Cheery Lynn Designs again and I am very happy about it. This time my project will be posted on the challenge day Sunday.
So I will also post here on my blog that day.
Today the challenge is "Black and Orange" and for my welcome back day I created a 8x8 layout with a picture of my grandparents way back in the fourties.

Always With You:
I made this layout with pretty Maja Design papers and I used a bunch mixed media products like paste, sprays, stencils and stamps as the base of my layout. The flowers are made of several layers which I distressed with water. I will make a tutorial some time soon on how I made them.

First I cut out the pretty "Anastasia Border" four times to outline my layout. Then I stamped, pasted and sprayed on my creme sheet. Then I cut out a couple fish tale banners and placed them under my picture and in the left lower corner.

 Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:

I hope you will all play along in Cheery Lynn Designs 206 challenge "Black and Orange"!
I can't wait to see what you all create with all the pretty dies. If you play along you can win a $20 shopping spree in the store.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments I really appreciate them.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Forever Beautiful Together Layout for ***Maja Design*** + playing at Cheery Lynn Designs & Scrap Africa

Well hello lovelies,
Today I'd like to show you my first layout with the marvelous new "Enjoying Outdoors" collection by Maja Design this collection is all full of pretty designs and my favorite color purple so it was a delight to create with it. It's so wonderful to scrap old pictures it gives me so much peace.

Forever Beautiful Together:
This time I used a very old picture {back in the fifties} of my grandfather & grandmother, although they are no longer among us I still believe they are together in after life. My handsome grandfather past away when I was only five years old. And my grandmother was the love of his life and the other way around. She stayed alone after him passing away until she past away January 2014.
Let's have a closer look:

I just bought those amazing words from Sizzix Tim Holtz they are so super pretty. All the chipboard I used are off course by Imaginarium Designs. Lately I love to do mixed media I just can't make a layout without paste, spray or embossing powders. I need to get dirty or otherwise I don't feel like I have been creating!! I am nuts hihihihi
A couple more close-ups:

Maja Design papers used:
