Picture Perfect Moment Mixed Media Panel for ***2Crafty Chipboard*** + Playing at Lindy's August Color Challenge!!!

  Hi lovely creative peeps, 
For today's post I made another mixed media panel, 2Crafty Chipboards sells amazing 10" panels in different shapes for this project I used the oval one. And I off course used a picture of our Abbey blowing bubbles a while back {this picture was on my desk for ages but with every project I did I finally used another picture lol} Enjoy my post.....

I treated almost all the chippies in different ways but for the Heidi's Vines & Floral branch I used the same technique. I just colored it with magicals and a brush without gesso-ing them first. I only gessod the window shutters, the word moment & the flower petals. The last one I want them to look more of a 3D flower so I wetted them first to seperate the petals and currled them a little.

 I saw that technique a couple of years ago and I finally gave myself some time to do it. After that I spray paint them with magicals & some wax. The lattice leaves & tittle stick I just left raw with a little bit of brown matt wax. 

 With this project I will be entering this months color challenge at the Lindy's creative Gang Facebook Page the magical set of this month is "Mountain Meadows" which is a flat set which I normally really like but this time I added a little sparkle to two of the colors {for the background} with milky way white because I wanted the background to be a little lighter to make my flowers & chipboard pop. Oh and I used all five colors....

I hope this post will find you well and that you are enjoying your day! I know I will on this beautiful summer day {on my vacation in Greece} For today I have another mixed media panel to share with you all and this time I used a picture of Jeroen and me on a wedding of his co-worker last may.

I finally found the time to use that amazing 10" Decorative Panel Wire Circle I had that one in my stash for a while now. Firstly I altered it with white gesso and then some rust paste {yellow & brown} after that I used two matte waxes to coördinate with the papers I have used here. On the Photo Adornment Larindas Flourish I used a technique that I love very much I have used a crackle paste on it with some magical powder & some true snow. 

 The words that I used on my work are just gessod with white gesso and then I added two layers of white embossing powder. The frames are altered with only a little wax in two colors. The Industrial Spring Set was altered with some white gesso and some matte wax in just one color & on the palm leaves I used two colors of matte wax.

Never Change Canvas for *** Lindy's January 2024 Color Challenge***!!

 Hello my lovely friends, 
Today I am here with you to share a mixed media panel, this time I used a 30cm by 10cm and I placed it on the side. For this canvas I used a whole bunch of moulds by prima marketing. I also used the magical shakers in diffrent ways I will explain that later in my post. For this canvas I didn't use a picture which is exceptional for me haha but I managed 

Never Change: 

I am a sucker for the sprays by Lindy's Gang I use them on almost every layout for this canvas I also used three of the sprays which I will list below. I am relative new on how to use the shakers but what I did on this canvas was....the branches I treated with some white gesso and whie that was still wet I added the magical shaker in the color {Gustav's Gold Leaf} and used my dabber to get it smoothly into the sureface then I added a little water and the {Alive & Kissing Cobalt} to get more depht in my branches.

On the background of my canvas I used some crackle paste & the other tree colors and also the golden color. On the cute little birds I used almost the same technique as I did on the branches but then I dipped my pencil in the powder and placed it on the birds for that I used the {Das Werk Wine & Kissin' Couple Crimson}

On both fames I used the watercolor technique so I added some water with some of the powder in a bottle and sprayed it on the frames then I dried it with a heatgun and the I added more powder and used a brush and some water...then I did that a couple of times until I had the color I wanted.

"Little Spring Moment" Mixed Media Panel Playing at ***Graphic 45*** & ***Mixed Media Place***!!

 Hello my lovely friends, 

I had a little fun playing with a older Graphic 45 collection named "Botanical Tea" this collection is one from the year 2014. It has beautiful soft toned colors and happy spring fussycut elements. For this project I have used a canvas 30 by 24cm and I have reversed it on top of that I added a emboidery hoop which I placed on the right top side of the canvas. On both I have used papers from that collection and a stencil by finnabair. 

Little Spring Moment: 

I used a flower spray by 49and market and the rest of the flowers are by Prima Marketing they really fitted well with my project & the pretty papers I have used. On the outer sides of my canvas & emboidery hoop I added some paper texture paste which I let dry for a night before I added some waxes on it. 

The chipboard pieces I have used are by 2Crafty Chipboard and I only added some white gesso to it and some embossing powder. For this project I have used a whole bunch of moulds which I love to use on most of my projects {for sure I am totally hooked} In the end I added some cute little dotted feathers to my work.

This mood board spoke to me in many ways I really loved the soft tones in it and also the pretty elements I was inspired by the blossoms, blue ski, pink curtains, birds & eggs. So this wasn't very hard to create.

Creepy & Cute panel for ***2Crafty Chipboard*** & Playing at ***Lindy's Gang***!!!

 Hello sweet friends, 
I am so happy you are here with me today....this time I bring you some mixed media inspiration. This panel was created with all gorgeous 2Crafty chippies and some moulds it was made for a challenge with the theme "Creepy & Cute. I off course used a picture of Abbey as a little baby for the cute part.

I altered some of the chipboard pieces with black gesso {on the creepy side} then I added some waxes that I brushed on them. On the other pieces I used white gesso and on some of them sprays {which I blow dried} and on the others some effect paste. The spraying gives it such a fun effect like water drops.

On the beautiful "Cassie's Flourishes" I added a layer of crushed ice effect paste to make it sparkle a little bit, but it is not really visible on the pictures sadly. To finish my work I added some flowers & white spray.

Love to leave a little sparkle wherever you go canvas for **Mixed Media Place** Guest Designer August 2022 + Playing along with **Lindy's August Color Challenge**!!

 Hello dear creative friends, 
 I am very excited to show you my project,that I made for the quarterly challenge at the Mixed Media Place blog as their guest designer. For this accasion I made a mixed media panel size 30cm by 10cm.
On my panel I used a bunch of new Finnabair moulds which I first treated with black gesso like I did with my background. The background took a day to dry because I added some of the clear crackle texture paste on it and I wanted it to dry naturally since is was very hot the last week.

Love to leave a little sparkle wherever you go: 

I tend to find it very hard to not use a color palette or a mood board since they always inspire me so much. So I used the Lindy's Stamp Gang color challenge as my inspiration to create this for my guest designer spot at Mixed Media Place

I added a text stencil with the modeling paste and when that was dry I added two layers of black heavy gesso. After that I took out my moulds and made the ones I used with resin (I prefer that over other modeling material) 

Also before I did all of the above I pick out my flowers first which I treated with different sprays & mica powders. When the moulds were dry I used a couple of the waxes & some purple acrylic paint for the backside of the light bulbs. Then I put everything in place how I liked it and voila it's ready and the last thing I did was add some white splatters. 

With this canvas I will be entering this months color challenge at the Lindy's Facebook Page.
