Special Guest Sponsor for ***More Than Words*** with ***Maja Design*** papers!

Goodmorning everyone,
Today some of us at the Maja Design creative team are guests designers at the More Than Words challenge blog! I totally love this months challenge because I love using frames and the word memories on my layouts as much as I can. For this layout I used the always amazing "Denim & Friends" collection.

Leave Footprints Take Only Memories:
For the frames and the text I used some beautiful The Dusty Attic chippies which I colored with gesso, acrylic paints and rust paste. First I added a layer of clear gesso on my background sheet later on I added some lindy's spray after that I added a script stemp and a stencil with some crackle paste. The flowers are by 49 and Market & Little Birdie.
Amazing challenge right?

Family Heritage Layout May Mood Board for ***Maja Design***

Goodmorning everyone,
Today there is a new moodboard life at the Maja Design blog and it's a pretty one again with lovely soft pink tones and very femini elements. I also used the saying in this mood board and a picture of Camilla her mom with her cute daughters. For this layout I used the "Summertime"collection but only the pink/red parts of the collection. I also added some of the words that are written at the bottom of the moodboard.

Family Heritage:
I treated the chipboards with acrylic paints by the Dusty Attic and then I used some of the amazing waxes by finnabair. The flowers are from 49 and Market and so fit with the colors of my layout. The backgound I treated with with distress ink {victorian velvet} and then I stamped with a script stamp to later on add a stencil with paste.
Let's have a look at the mood board: it al has to do with family....
This one was so in my comfort zone that it was made very quickly....normally one layout will take me five or six hour to create but this one took me less. Lets have a closer look:

So now I can can show you my mixed media tags made with some lovely 7 Dots Studio papers for these tags I used the "Dreamscapes" collection and a lot of spray's and embossing powders by Lindy's Stamp Gang.

A Happy Paradise Found / Be Wild & Free:
I also used a bunch of metal pieces that I had in my stash and the flowers are by Prima Marketing and are treated with four different sprays by Lindy's Stamp Gang:
and on the metal pieces I also used two embossing powders:

With this tag I will be entering this months mini challenge at  More Than Words the challenge is to use the word "Wild" for that word I just used my 49 and Market archival board laser cut shapes.

I will also be entering at the Lindy's Stamp Gang Facebook Page with both my tags. I really love this months mood board they are totally not my colors but that is just the fun of it to think outside the box...

Sweet Memories Layout for ***Maja Design*** + Playing at Cuts2luv!

Goodmorning lovelies,
Are you enjoying the spring weather...here in The Netherlands we had some pretty sunny days but that is over now, sadly but hopefully soon we can enjoy the sun again. For today I have a layout to share. Two weeks ago my computer died on me and I could not post my project {sorry for that} but now my husband fixed that and I can edit my work again yeah. This layout is made with two collections "Celebration" & "Denim and Friends" and Camilla her lovely daughter Freja <3 is on the picture.

Sweet Memories:
On the beackground of my layout I added the pretty waterdrops stamp by Gabrielle Pollacco {still one of my favorite stamps sets ever} but before I added that stamp I used two other stamps to one crackle and one script stamp. After prepairing my background I treated my chipboard pieces with several acrylic paints layered on top of each other to get a worndown look.

After I treated the chipboards I added my flower clusters. Then I took my photograph and layered it on two sheets of the 6x6 paper pads then I placed it on top of the chipboard frame to get more dimension.  At the end I took out a letter sticker sheet from webster pages and made the word bliss and in that corner I placed a metal piece.

At the end I used some of my white spray and gesso to lighten up my flowers and papers...but I also added some art stones and some sea shells. I think that is it on how I created this layout. I had a lot of fun also because we have a son and I really enjoy making layouts with girls being the focal point.
