My Family back in 1951 Layout for ***Graphic 45***!!!

Goodmorning lovely friends,

I am a huge fan of old photos so I went to my uncle & moms Facebook page to steal some.

This one is with my great grandmother in the middle on the left you see two of my granddad’s sisters and on the right my two great grandfathers.

I also really love soft toned Graphic 45 paper collections so that’s why I used an older one here “A Ladies Diary” you can surely remember that one right? The graphics are amazing and on this layout I used two molds a set of little hands to hold the title and a frame to hold the photo.

My Family back in 1951:

Making layouts is my thing as you can see, also I love to add layers so that’s what I did with this one. Stitching is my signature style as you see here I did that on both cream colored sheets. Then I used a script stamp and a stencil to my layout and later on I added some white spray. For this layout I did a lot of fussy cutting which is very relaxing but also very time consuming and of that last one I don’t have that much.

Metal embellishments are amazing to use and on this layout I have used two buckles, one in the left upper corner and one in the right lower corner. And wow even for me it’s odd that I didn’t use any chipboard pieces on this one.

I distressed all the edges of my layout, building this page was very easy and this one was made within five hours without counting the fussy cutting part. I colored the molds pieces with some sprays, acrylic paints matte & metallique and some waxes.

I also used the stickers sheet which is full of pretty phrases, words and letters. The letters I used for my title, and I also used the “Graphic 45 unique papercrafting” in my buckles I cut them off my papers.

That beautiful lady was lifted with foam tape so I could add that flower cluster in the end I added some bubbles and waxes on the flowers to soften them up a little.

I also did a lot of fussy cutting on this layout I find that very relaxing.

Born to be a Mermaid Layout for ***Graphic 45***!!!

Hello lovely Friends,
When the “Make a Splash” collection got introduced on the blog & on the socials I was in love in a heartbeat as was my daughter Abbey who wants to be a mermaid when she grows up. Purples & Teals are my favorite colors to scrap but really hard to photograph. For this layout I used two pictures of Abbey in a swimming pool in our back garden last summer.

Born to be a Mermaid:

This layout was a copy of a layout that I created a couple years ago. The big “Mermaid” word was made with a very old alphabet tool named the colluzzle maybe some of you don’t even know it. {I am a huge fan of the old stuff} I also really love to use chipboard pieces and other mixed media related products on my layouts.

How I made this layout, I took a sheet of the 12x12 collection and distressed the edges then I took a sheet of the solids and trimmed that one of about 1,5 cm then I made some big tearing pieces throughout that sheet after I did that I took out another piece of the solids and placed them behind the tearing pieces.

After that I added a couple of stamps under which one designed by my all time favorite artist Gabrielle Pollacco {the water drops} and a splash stencil to fit my layout. I matted the photos with three layers and I placed some cheese cloth underneath them.

I also stitched around the edges of my photos and matted the phrases from the collection with a couple of layers. To finish off my layout I added some sequins and dark blue diamante gems.

In the end to soften up my layout and make it more whole I sprayed with some white ink and added some matte white wax to my flower clusters & chipboard pieces.

Well hello sweet friends,
So glad you are visiting my blog, I really love creating with beautiful chipboard
pieces like these. For today I have another 12 by 12 layout as those are my favorites to make.
This time I used a older picture of Kevin and myself.
Since my printer was acting up I couldn't use the picture I wanted to use.
You got to love technology right???

You know what's amazing, you can order directly from the
2Crafty website here so you can also play with their amazing chipboard pieces

You Make Me Happy Handsome Lad:

2Crafty Chipboard used:
Mini Title Stick Set 1
Corner Steampunk 4
12 x 12 Weatherred Clock Face Frames
11" Holly Frame Set
Holly Twig Branches
Hinges Pack
You Make Me Happy Title
Fine Word Set 3

I just love to wrinkle my papers so that's what I did for this layout. I also machine stitched the outside of my base sheet. Most chipboard pieces are treated with some rust paste and waxes as for the title "you make me happy" the top was embossed {with white powder} and the happy part was also treated with rust paste.

The 11" holly frame set was firstly treated with some white gesso and later on I added three kinds of green acrylic paints and a lavender acrylic paint. Then on the berry circles I added some wishing bubbles to make them pop a little.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog I sure hope you like my work as much as I love making them.
