Goodmorning lovelies,
Today I'd like to share a Autumn layout {yes you read it correctly into the Autumn mood already} that I created for Maja Design using the gorgeous "Walking in the Forest" collection.
The picture I used is one of my favorites of Kevin when he was just a cute three year old boy {love that age}. He was playing hide and seek in a pile of leaves laying on our backyard. He had the best time ever getting all dirty from the leaves. And mommy too because she could take a bunch of pictures.
Capture the Moment:
First I started making the background of my layout by using paste, stamps, stencils and sprays. I love to get all messy making my layouts. But the weird part is I always seem to cover it all up with my picture, embellishments and flowers do you also have that problem??
Lets have a closer look:
For this layout I used a bunch of Cheery Lynn Design dies and some chipboard pieces by Imaginarium Designs.
Also I cut out the beautiful butterflies & tags that are on the die cut sheet in that collection. I wanted to make my layout more in the earthy tones that's why i used the pretty green, creams and orange sheets.
I really had a wonderful time creating this layout I do have to admit that this collection is another favorite....{well I say that with every collection hehe}
Maja Design papers used:
wal-549, wal-538, wal-554, wal-553 & wall-548 from the
collection.
With this layout I will be entering the amazing Challenge 197- Back to Nature at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog. Yeah finally I have time to play again with your challenge. The dies I used are:
And my layout was based on the sketch at my sweet friend Denise van Deventer her challenge blog ==> Scrap Afrika <==
I only flipped the sketch!
I only flipped the sketch!
Thank you so much for your visit today and I hope to see you back sometime soon.

amazing layout I love that tiny mushrooms and flowers!!! thanks for taking part in scrap africa challenge
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLovely layout, great photo and story! My challenge is contrary to yours - I have a hard time covering up any background work I've done. So I tend to concentrate the background decorations in the opposite corners of where I plan to have my photo and embellishment clusters. Maybe you could try that, too? I mean only if you feel the other corners feel empty or too "un-worked". I do love how the modeling paste shows from under your photos, though, so the work you did is not lost at all!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh, and I forgot to say thank you for joining us at Scrap Africa!
