January Challenge at Once Upon A Sketch.....

Twice,two.....

Hi lovely ladies,

I'm still so *happy* (like a kid in a candystore) do be on the "Imaginarium Designs" design team that I had to make a lo with my NEW chipboard pieces they send me! They are all so pretty......drool...
Natalie May who is part of the team for a while now has asked us to take part in the one or more challenges over at OUAS!!! I'm already a big fan and I'm playing almost every month so that's why I enterd TWICE this month because I totally adore Nadia her sketches!
Look at this amzing sketch:
Pretty huh???
The challenge was also about: Theme: "The start of something new"
This theme was amazing for the lo I did......
My (ex) co-worker became a proud mother of a handsome baby boy on January six.......
Such a sweet little boy named Ryan Aislyn!
I wanted to make her a card but as you may know me I almost never do cards so it became a lo...
For this lo I used the MARVELOUS "Little Darlings"collection by Graphic 45.
I'm so much in love with all there collections I really hope to be on there team one day "well a girl needs a dream right"??? lol
This is my take on the sketch:
                  "New Baby Boy"
It's not such a great picture because there is something wrong with my camera (my sweet hubby dropped it last weekend so it blurry in some spots hop to get a better picture soon....
Isn't he a cutie?????
The cute little rhyme on the left center of the lo was the one that was on the birth announcement card they send us!
It sais in dutch: Op mijn bolletje staat al wel wat haar,
toch zijn mijn tandjes nog niet klaar.
Maar met mijn glimlach vertel ik het geheim,
dat we met z'n drieen heel gelukkig zijn.

I will try to translate: On my head there is a little bit of hair,
while my teeth aren't ready jet.
But with my smile I will tell you my secret,
that the three of us are very happy.

"Well" I tried...... lol not really a rhyme in English hihihihihihih duhhhh
Here are a couple of close-ups:

Do you think she likes the gift???
I wanted to do something different with the letters as you can see I used paper to cover the letters and around the edges some ink....
Code: IDA0006 RRP
These letters are so much fun to work with....
Hope you all like my lo ..........

I also did another lo for the challenge at the Dusty Attic blog I always love there challenges so much look at this wonderful sketch by Mistra:
But then offcourse as you know me I flipped it .....so it looked like this:
For this lo I used the gorgeous "Girl Land"collection by Webster's Pages.....and some gorgeous Dusty Attic pieces that I first painted yellow and then used some clear crackle paint on....and later a little micro beads!
I gor that idea from the uber talented Erin Blegen.....
The rhyme on the lo sais:

To have,to hold, for always and forever.
May the love we share always keep us together.
Remember the things that we hold so dear.
Especially on this day, as we celebrate our first year....

On the 20th of April we are married one year so I made this lo for that occasion....
This is my lo:
And here are a couple of close-ups.

I sure hope you enjoyed this long long post of mine hihihihihihihi
